Project 1: Nairobi, Kenya
Overview:
- Our client’s objective is to be the leading real estate investment management firm by identifying superior investment opportunities and providing reliable investment management services in real estate.
- The client is seeking additional capital to take advantage of impending Capital Markets (Real Estate Investment Trusts) Regulations, 2009. The investors will be investing in the Real Estate Investment Management Company who will launch its own property funds once the CMA gazettes these regulations.
Investment strategy:
- Direct investments in real estate, separately managed account portfolios, commingled funds all concentrating on real estate especially within Africa; and
- Indirect investments in real estate through investments in publicly traded securities; that is, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), property funds, joint ventures and other real estate companies in Africa.
